New York Islanders: A year in review

From October 2015 to October 2016, many things about the Isles have changed.  First off, the 23 year streak of not winning a playoff round is over.  The Isles beat the Panthers in Round 1, and lost to the Lightning in Round 2.  They also lost Kyle Okposo, Frans Nielsen, Matt Martin, Brian Strait and Mike Halmo.  Obviously the top 3 are the big ones, and they change the team very effectively.  But, they gained Andrew Ladd, Jason Chimera, and P.A Parentuea.

Also, John Tavares, Nikolai Kulimen, Thomas Greiss, Jaroslav Halak, and Jack Capuano are all in the World Cup of Hockey.
