In the World Cup of Hockey, Jaroslav Halak got a shutout on team USA.  35 saves on 35 shots.  The backup for him, Thomas Greiss, did not yet get to start for Team Europe yet.  Nikolai Kulimen, on Team Russia, played and got 0 points.  Tavares also got 0 points for Team Canada.

Jaroslav Halak got the 1st star of the game.
