So Close You Can Smell It
With a 6-4 win over the New Jersey Devils, the Islanders are so close to a playoff spot. Here’s a look at the standings as of 2-20-16 at exactly 7:00 PM. 
Yeah. We’re that close. One point out. Blowing games in the third period really screwed us up. Hopefully, the Leafs keep losing and the Islanders keep winning.
It is almost certain the Islanders won’t take hold of the first Wild Card Spot. Our only hope is the final playoffs position. Which, as of now, we would be replaying the Washington Capitals in the First Round.
