Moving help from the crosstown rivals? It’s happening!
James Dolan, the owner of both the New York Knicks and the New York Rangers, and Fred Wilpon, the owner of the New York Mets, have publicly stated that they will invest in the Islanders new arena if they do end up moving near or outside of Queens, the home of the Mets. This arena would be built for the Islanders. The Barclays Center was not built for the Isles, but for their neighbors, the Brooklyn Nets. There hopefully will be no obstructed views, and no random SUVs next to any goals.
