I have significant faith in Lou Lamoriello and I hope he can hire Barry Trotz. Trotz has been spotted in the Newark airport, possibly for the Islanders.
He was also spotted in Seattle, as rumors for the new expansion team start to solidify. We don’t just need new players and goalies, we NEED a veteran, winning, COACH. Barry Trotz is the perfect match. So why do we need him?
Well, obviously, Trotz would help a ton in this John Tavares nightmare. If Trotz comes to the Isles, we would be an immediate playoff contender (that is, if JT stays).
So with a real coach, a captain to STAY, a good goalie, and a functional GM, the Isles will be on their way.
