Today was an amazing day. Barry Trotz, probably the best coach in hockey, has been named the Islanders head coach. He will automatically play an instrumental role in the quest for John Tavares’ loyalty.
Well, actually, sources state that JT already signed an 8-year deal with the Islanders, but they’re waiting until after the draft to announce it. Barry Trotz is known for coaching the Capitals, but he also coached the Predators. In his coaching career, Trotz’s record is 762-568-60. He also won the Jack Adam’s Award in 2015-16. The Jack Adam’s Award is given to the coach of the year. This year, it was awarded to Gerald Gallant of the Golden Knights.
Gerard after fired by Panthers, but one year later…
Talk about a glow-up.
Anyway, Barry Trotz will really help the Islanders get back on their feet. We are officially not a joke!
