The Hidden Messages of the 3rd Jersey

The new Islanders 3rd jerseys break the curse of terrible alternate jerseys (Black ones…).

They stuck with NY patch as the main crest in front, and no shoulder patches. The jersey is fairly simple, consisting of no texture, gradient, or innovative designs. Although simple, I really like these new jerseys.

On the jersey, there are things you won’t see when on a player. On the interior of the neck, there is a dark blue Long Island.

Also, above the Adidas patch, the word “Islanders” is inscribed in blue.

The four orange stripes on the main crest symbolize the four Stanley Cups the Islanders won in their dynasty.

The orange and white stripes on the bottom are also very thin, making the jersey dominated by blue.

How do you like the new jerseys?
