Kieffer Bellows has a bright future with the Islanders. There’s no way we’re going to have another Josh Ho-Sang situation, right?

The answer to that is no way- so no need to worry.

Bellows is unique in the way where he’ll play a game and be pretty unnoticeable and quiet, but then BOOM- he’s got two goals in the blink of an eye.

I think Trotz and CO is looking for improved play from Bellows when he doesn’t have the puck and when we’re in the defensive zone. We’ve seen great two-way play from Oliver Wahlstrom, and I think it’s only a matter of time before Bellows follows in his footsteps.

“He’s been in every meeting, every practice, so I’m not going to make any excuses for Kieffer and Kieffer wouldn’t want me to make any for him”

-Coach Trotz

Bellows has 3 goals in 12 games played this season. Those three goals came after that viscous Trotz quote.

The goals took place in back-to-back games, with all 3 being against the New Jersey Devils.
