Bert stats update:

The Islanders and Philadelphia Flyers matchups were all very weird and unbalanced when it comes to scoring. Through all the games and impact between these two teams came from many ways especially all the leads being blown and comebacks being commenced.

The Islanders and Flyers rivalry all started from the 1980 playoffs and is still happening up to this date.

The comebacks from any NHL team is common. The two matchups like the Islanders and the Flyers go way way back when they first started after tying large leads. It’s either they win the game or spoil the comeback. For example 3 goal leads used to be a game over deciding fact whether it’s from the first or second period, it’s more likely common for it to be blown. Teams should not stand or sit back if even if you’re up 5-0 because if they score the 3rd goal they will tilt the ice on you and you’re giving the other team momentum.

The Islanders are unfortunately -2-5 when they comeback to win or get spoiled against the Flyers in between 2010 and 2020 decade. These are the large leads blown and comebacks that I know so far

Comebacks against the Flyers:
